Exact Change's eBook feature makes it easy to access electronic books.

Users who have the Krause Publications Standard Catalog of World Coins on DVD can view the catalog right in Exact Change.  When you click on a coin type, Exact Change takes you right to the correct page in the correct catalog.  It doesn't go just to the country, it goes right to the page on which that particular coin type is listed!

Some series, such as Indian Cents, span more two centuries and therefore the listing is split between two different catalogs.  The drop-down box near the upper-right corner can be used to select the catalog you wish to view if more than one catalog applies.

There are two files necessary to access the catalog from within Exact Change, the PDF file on the Krause DVD and the eBook file which is available here.  Both of these files should be placed into the directory in which Exact Change is installed (Typically c:\Program Files\Exact Change).  When you start up Exact Change and select a coin type, you'll see a new "eBook" tab at the bottom of the window.

The eBook files come with Exact Change, so all you really need to do is copy the PDF file from your Krause DVD to your Exact Change directory.

2008 edition Standard Catalog, 19th century:  SC1801-1900.eBook
2008 edition Standard Catalog, 20th century: SC1900-2000.eBook
2008 edition Standard Catalog, 21st century: SC2001-date.eBook

The 2009 and 2010 editions of the Standard Catalogs contain spaces in the file names, which our web server does not allow.  Therefore, we've packaged the eBook file in a self-extracting executable file.  Just click on the link below to download this program.  When you run it, it will ask you to specify a location where the file should be placed and it will then create the eBook file.

You may include as many eBooks as you wish; there's no need to delete an older catalog to install a newer one.  This makes it easy to reference an older catalog to see what price changes have occurred.

Are you a numismatic author?
If you've authored a document that you'd like to make available to the collecting public, you can easily create an eBook file to make it a truly "Quick reference".  We'd be happy to help you publicize your document to Exact Change users.
