Change's eBook feature makes it easy to access electronic books.
Users who have the Krause Publications Standard Catalog of World Coins on DVD can view the catalog right in Exact Change. When you click on a coin type, Exact Change takes you right to the correct page in the correct catalog. It doesn't go just to the country, it goes right to the page on which that particular coin type is listed!
Some series, such as Indian Cents, span more two centuries and therefore the listing is split between two different catalogs. The drop-down box near the upper-right corner can be used to select the catalog you wish to view if more than one catalog applies.
There are two files necessary to access the catalog from within Exact Change, the PDF file on the Krause DVD and the eBook file which is available here. The eBook files are compatible with both the Windows and Macintosh editions of Exact Change; the same files can be used regardless of which operating system you use. Both of these files should be placed together on your hard drive:
On a Windows computer, the files should be stored in Documents\Exact Change\eBooks
On a Macintosh computer, the files should be stored in Library/Application Support/Exact Change/eBooks
The eBook file is a cross reference database; it tells Exact Change what page number to go to for any given coin or note series in Exact Change. For example, when you select a series like West German pfennigs, Exact Change checks the eBook file and can determine which catalog or catalogs pertain to that coin type and on what page each of those catalogs displays information about that coin type. When you click on the "eBook" tab, Exact Change can then show you the appropriate page.

The C.I.A. World Factbook This is a free eBook which provides a wealth of information about each of the modern-day countries included in the Exact Change database. When you select any series that represents a country, the eBook tab will display the section of the factbook that pertains to that country. Because it's a free eBook, both the PDF and eBook files are available right here. Just save both of these files into the directory indicated at the top of this page and then the next time you start Exact Change, this eBook will be in place. On some web browsers, you may need to right-click the link below and select "Save link as" or "Save target as" in order to download the PDF file rather than just opening it inside your browser window. Exact Change Varieties Notebook This is a free eBook which replaces the old "Varieties" tab in Exact Change; it's a document which describes varieties for the selected series. For example, if you select the series "Memorial Cents" then this ebook will provide one-click access to a description of the small and large date varieties of Memorial cents. Because Wild Man Software is the publisher of this ebook, both the PDF and eBook files are available right here. You may include as many eBooks as you wish; there's no need to delete an older catalog to install a newer one. This makes it easy to reference an older catalog to see what price changes have occurred.
